Sustainable Trading is a membership organisation dedicated to improving the sustainability of the global markets trading industry. The membership comprises banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, technology providers, exchanges and trading venues. As an organisation, our work includes hosting membership meetings, developing industry best practices, and organising industry events on environmental, social and governance themes. The organisation is a small team of just under 10 people including marketing and admin, with 3 people working in-person in our London office near Blackfriars.
We are looking for a highly organised, confident, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and great communication skills. Candidates will want to continually learn and develop their understanding of ESG topics and financial markets. They will be engaging with stakeholders with varying levels of seniority across the trading industry and should be confident in these environments. Candidates may also have an interest in business development. They will be actively and regularly prospecting for new members over email, the phone, online and in-person meetings, and industry events.

About the role:
We are hiring a Sustainability Consultant/Associate to join the Sustainable Trading team. With responsibilities divided between member engagement, external engagement, and developing ESG materials:
Member engagement:
- Engaging with global markets trading firms within the membership through emails, one-to-one meetings and events.
- Leading and presenting at membership meetings and discussions on E, S and G topics.
- Onboarding new members, managing content access and communications permissions for members.
- Organising events for the membership, such as volunteer days, panel discussions, and networking events.
External engagement:
- Outreaching to prospective members, actively following up over email or the phone through to their joining of the organisation.
- Attending online and in-person meetings with prospective members to inform them about Sustainable Trading.
- Attending industry events while representing Sustainable Trading.
Developing ESG materials:
- Developing research, articles, case studies, and other materials around environmental/social topics in the trading industry.
- Learning and engaging with various sustainability topics including technology infrastructure, environmental business practices, diversity equity and inclusion (DEI), community engagement, employee wellbeing, trading desk practices, and more.

- Salary in the range of £25,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
